New York - Band of Outsiders’ creative director Scott Sternberg took one, and then watched a bunch of spaghetti Westerns, and the foundation for his three collections was born.
He began with his namesake men’s wear, sending out one luxe look after another from a desertlike backdrop. There were some great leather puffer vests, one paired with hickory-striped jeans, another topping a double-breasted wool suit. Dashes of workwear and Mexican blanket prints were cozily layered, and though the lot leaned toward casual, the straightforward proportions made it all feel more grown-up than last season’s shrunken silhouettes.
